Life, Love and the Pursuit of Being
If asked to describe myself in a few words, I’d probably sound like a contradiction. I am not an “any which way the wind blows” kind of girl, but my mind and feelings do change just as swiftly and lightly or as roughly as does the wind. I am an educator with many passions. Writing is one.
Being one of five girls, I have spent countless hours engaged in girl talk. Through my everyday encounters and experiences, I have had some pretty interesting conversations with women about life, love and the pursuit of, just being. These experiences have fueled my desire to create a space where I can write about, share and gain feedback around some of those conversations and experiences.
This space will be filled with stories of humor, adventure, trials and tribulations. I intend to blog about the lifestyles of the busy, ever-changing woman. My stories will lead you on a whirlwind, roller-coasterish thrill ride through life.
I hope to spark something in you that will make you return again and again. I look forward to sharing.

I think we can all speak to a workplace or school setting issue. Some are small and give us something to laugh about over drinks with our friends. Others are more damaging and end up bad for all parties involved. The handling of these workplace or school setting issues mostly depends on the level of maturity or tolerance of the receivers. Some people can take a lot and never explode. Not that this is healthy, but they have learned the art of avoiding confrontations or turning ugly situations into mild happenings that never get a second thought. I so admire those people.
An acquaintance and I were planning a tea party. Never had I attended nor planned such an event. It was going to be grand. I researched a variety of teas and crumpets. I even handpicked and purchased the good china. I had never been so excited. Since the planning involved many moving parts, we enlisted the assistance of a third party. This was a great addition because he was someone we both trusted to help carry out the details.
From time to time, I may watch someone’s Facebook story. It’s rare and not something I do on a regular basis because I don’t post stories. Plus, the liking of a story is followed by a ridiculous message that no one has time to check. To add, I have the most difficult time navigating stories. They move too quickly, and I can never easily get back to them. It’s that 24-hour rule or something crazy like that I suppose. So, on those few occasions when I watch someone’s story, usually my daughter’s, it rolls into someone else’s story. I am not sure why this decision was made, but someone voted to pass it. Since all Facebook users know this to be the case, why do we get so bent out of shape about people watching our stories without engagement? If I watch someone’s story, it is totally by accident. It’s definitely an accidental viewing for those with whom there is never any two-way engagement.
